  • Good

  • WELL ITS NOT VERY FUNNY

  • ATOMIC I MEAN

  • WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AATOMIC GOLDFISH

  • I've noticed that you changed the grenades splash damage to just 30% and that's true if your character is in the front row but if your character is in the back row where the grenade is supposed to be used the splash damage goes up to 37.5%. I origanally posted those findings and can't figure out how to change that back being that it's a template and I'm not a computer whiz. samsearam aka CHRONO

    • Any splash gives 25% bonus when used from the back-row. So to make it consistent, I removed it from the grenade and only show the 'defined' amount.

  • "Phenomenal damage and great AR boost." This sounds as it would improve the attack rate. But +100% attack rate means, that it takes longer from one attack to the next. This is confusing a lot of players. It would be better to change this to: "Phenomenal damage, but the AR is increased by 100%. - Slow but bombastic."

    • These are pre-release descriptions, which means out-of-date and not accurate. I wonder if the section should be here, seems it confuses players..

  • Full weapons table and weapons lootlist table were too big and had to be split, links to both tables are on the top of this page. You can also view a specific weapon type article for easier table browsing, if you're interested in a particular weapon type.

  • How can I get a spreadsheet of all the weapons information? I know it used to be here...i think!!

  • Huh, didn't notice that was there, actually. I still think it's nice to have all the info in one place, though.

  • Both of these questions can by answered by entering the Grenade article or the Shiny-new-weapon-type article. But I see how some might find it useful (although I'm not one of them). On a side note; I wonder how many comments without hiding the first ones will the comment section take? ;>

  • My rationale was that players might ask for example: "Which soldier is best with grenades?" or "I looted a shiny new weapon, what class(es) are most skilled with it?" - without having to check a whole bunch of character pages.

It is an awkward table, but hardly the largest one on the wiki.

  • Yeah, that's a good point, I appreciate the value of comparison articles, but if the capabilities of a comparison table to properly and transparently sort it's content are limited, (and that's the case here, in my opinion) then the table should be divided/removed. I guess that's a matter of opinion, so if yours is to keep the table then I won't rebel ;) but keep in mind that eventually this article (and the proficiency table in particular) will have to be split up due to it being too long.

  • Suppose you want to check which class you want to play.

So you want to see the attributes/Weapons/Skills from several classes in order to determine which ones you like. I know the compare classes was lacking the skills and that you could not filter them, but it was better then nothing at all.

If it is just for looking something up, you are correct, but sometimes you want to compare things.

  • To see a list of classes that can use a weapon go to that weapon's article, to see all weapons a class can use go to that class' article, what more would you need? I think it's just duplicating the same content in a less appealing way (and yes, I know the general table was there first ;P, doesn't mean it's better). I'm trying to get rid of such sections of the wiki that will be annoying to browse once new classes come out.

  • Well, I think people like to see a list with all classes, just so they can sort on a weapontype and see which classes are the best with it

  • Hmm... the whole point of my work doing the proficiency tables in all weapon type articles was to get rid of the general proficiencies table which consists of blank fields mostly... It's hard to read and sort and will get even harder once new classes are released. But then again I might have lost the idea of what players want to find on the wiki? Is there any reasonable argument to keep it here?

  • Is on my to-do list.

  • I think that the uppermost table could use some numbers to earn being called a SORTABLE table. What's the difference between Extreme, Epic and Insane anyway? As you probably noticed almost all weapons' stats are a constant fraction of that weapon's level. Why not put those percentage values in the table? (example: Cutlass Attack = 50%, Knife Defense=10% etc..). I know this method does not apply to a few weapons (Atomic Goldfish, Sword of the Shore, Staff of Judgement etc.. ) nut neither does the current.. Comments?
